  • When booking a First Aid Course please indicate whether the learner has any allergies or conditions that we need to be aware of before the course (e.g. allergies, epilepsy, asthma, physical/mobility difficulties which will impede the practical assessments/kneeling for CPR and Recovery assessments, dyslexia or support required for the theory assessments. ***Failure to complete assessments can result in the candidate failing Qualification courses)

For blended courses with an e-learning element please note:

  • The email will be sent from Qualsafe so please check junk/spam boxes, please only use a desktop device not a mobile or IPad/tablet.
  • Learners need to use the email address given and create their own password to login (remember/write this down)
  • Learners do not have to sit the e-learning all in one session and can dip in and out .There are little competency quizzes to complete as learners work through the topics, it take about 4-6 hours.
  • The online learning must be completed before the classroom date. Failure to do so will result in refused access to the classroom day. ( If you are having technical issues or have not received your login link please contact MTC)
  • This is a full day course 9am-5pm and normally takes the 9am-5pm as there are multiple assessments.
  • Please arrive 15 minutes early to allow for a prompt start and bring photo ID to show the trainer.
  • Please wear clothing suitable for kneeling for CPR and recovery position assessments.

Qualsafe requirements to pass the course are:

  • If the Learner has difficulty kneeling on the floor, they may practise with the manikin on a table or chair if it is safe. In real life, the casualty is likely to fall to the floor, so the Learner must demonstrate CPR and the safe use of an AED with the manikin on the floor at least once. Padding such as a folded coat may be provided to kneel on during the assessment.
  • The Learner must demonstrate at least 2 cycles of CPR before applying the AED pads in the correct position.
  • They also need to be able to demonstrate recovery position on the floor
